With roots from the young souls
The experience of making and playing music is a strong foundation to a band formation. This basic instinct is often used to fortify the concept and integrity of their music. Run by the 4 members of SUPERGLAD, Giox/Agus "Giox" Purnomo (bass), Lukman Laksmana "Bollock's" (vokal/gitar), Akbar/Frid Akbar "Abam" (drum), as the ex-drummer of "Betrayer" metal band and Dadi Yudistira "Berry" (gitar), this band was born out of a phase that ripens their concept.
SUPERGLAD melts a rock with character, as a basis of their maturity. The rock spirit that sparks SUPERGLAD gave fruit to a band inspiration of teenage rock - the rock with roots of the young.
They cut a powerful music performance with high speed tempo. This character is fortified with 2 guitar format played by Lukman and Dadi - both with different characters. Guitars played by Lukman are with thick and low drive, while Dedi's with vintage and crunchy character. Both fill the gaps and enrich SUPERGLAD's music character. The synchronicity of this format is further enriched by the powerful drum backed up by a strong base. This capacity becomes a force of its own for this band, established in March 2003 as a rebel of their previous band the WAITING ROOM.

Laki-laki

This is an E.P/mini album launched in August 2003 by Spills Record and Berandalan Ibukota. A masterpiece done independently and in July 2003, Superglad becomes an ‘MTV Exclusive Artist' with their first videoclip ‘TIDURLAH'. In December 2003, Superglad becomes stronger with a new album, produced by Benny ‘Benyo' with his MOFO Record and distributed by BMG Indonesia with 12 songs called The Superglad (a self-portrait).
Superglad throws a macho image in their songs, from their feelings and visions towards girls. The second clip, "Laki-laki" released in September 2003, and the third one, "Kisah lama" was released in February 2004.

The capability of making songs is with Lukman and Dadi - Lukman is more on lyric. As a vocalist, Lukman understands the nuance of placing the right diction for the right atmosphere settings. Lukman with the vocal power for powerful songs can make a song full of live.

‘CAHAYA' is the fourth single, released in their videoclip with full 3D animation concept where this clip involves new animators with extraordinary talents like Mahdi Assegaf and Ades Adrian. The production team consist of Yoga Krispratama (Editor) and Levi the Fly (sound effects). 

‘Untuk Sementara' is the 5^th single and the videoclip was released in December 2004.

The cover of this album is the official cover of this group. The display of 4 guys in a sauna holding a glass of wine symbolizes their naughty attitude as a man.

In June 2005, Superglad, an alternative rock band of Jakarta, releases their second album with SGK Record. The songs are very strong with deep meaning that lure you to all the nuance in their songs. There's even a ballad that may surprise us that Superglad could sing this song. From this music skills, they've proven to the world that this band has unique skills.

The audio is done in extraordinary quality and meticulously by Jaya Roxx as an engineer. This album clearly sounds as a great audio work and deserves a world music audience. The cover album was done meticulously by Mahdi Asegaf that represented Asia in Asia's Comic Marvel Festival - full with unique 3D illustration.

The technicians in this album has a great track record like Ricky Seringai for guitar, Levy for drum, July Fox for bass and Kin Aulia as music director and vocal. Additional musicians selected with character such as Arian13, Eka, The Brandals, Adith and Adelina as backstage vocal. It is such a great honor for us to present this album to all the world music lover as its distinct quality marvels all other bands - even with similar bands.

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK OF ‘CEWE METROPOLIS'

In this compilation of album, Superglad made 3 songs specifically to cater the theme of the movie. All the songs are made slow because of it, but still in a rock spirit where this rock spirit becomes the bridge that unites Superglad with the essence of this original soundtrack.

May be people assumes that Superglad is always a hard rock and fact band even though in their first and second albums there are slow song. Specifically in this soundtrack, Superglad came across an interesting challenge to blend in their songs with the storyline.

If in the previous albums there is just 1 slow song, in this soundtrack, everything must be slow. Superglad was a little overwhelmed at first, however, they took it as an interesting challenge considering that this soundtrack would be distributed for a wide range of audience that could bring Superglad more famous in the realm of Indonesian music. And of course it could add to a bigger fan base home and abroad because of the movie shown on Malaysian cinemas.

Although all the songs are slow, Superglad is no less than Superglad - a band with a thick rock soup in their music.
